About Us
The purpose of Tabernacle Baptist Church is to help people discover the joy of believing in Jesus, belonging to his family, becoming mature Christians, and bringing others to Christ.
Our purpose is based on two key passages:
The Great Commandment found in Matthew 22:36-40 says: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
The Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-10 says: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
