YOUNG-AT-HEART
Young-at-Heart is the name given to the senior adults at Tabernacle Baptist Church. This is a group of folks who are age 55 and over and the term “young at heart” certainly does reflect the attitudes of “members of the greatest generation”.
We have programs designed to meet and/or enhance the spiritual needs of senior adults. We fellowship the first Thursday of each month at the Swann Center or other designated locations. We also meet the third Thursday for quilting and sack lunch. Refer to the bulletin insert the first of each month for other news.
Other activities include
- Annual Peach Picking Trip in July
- Annual Apple Picking Trip in September.
We stay at the Toccoa Baptist Center
this is a favorite trip.

- We also have a senior adult choir, Sounds of Joy, and we sing once each quarter. We invite you to join us for practice at 6 pm on dates published in the Young-at-Heart newsletter (included in your bulletin) the first of each month.
- We also have a senior adult visitation program.
