Pastor  Bobby and Randy

In Luke 14:15-24 Jesus relates the parable of the Great Banquet. Having invited the people of high standing and been given varied excuses why they could not attend, the master then sent his servants to invite the "less desirables" to come.  Still finding room and provisions for more guests, the master sent out his servants yet again saying, "Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house may be full."

Next Sunday is a Big Day. We will not be having a wedding banquet, but Jesus was really talking about THE Wedding Banquet or Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As not only His ambassadors, but also His servants, it is time to invite whoever we may find to come to His house. We may not be able to compel them to come in, but we can, on God's authority, do everything in our power to bring the lost and un-churched into His house where they will find themselves welcome in spite of their shortcomings. Literally "everyone you find" is welcome. So ask everyone you see to come on Sunday, February 12 to Tabernacle and get ready to have truly a Big Day!  Some will certainly turn down the Master's invitation for reasons that seem justifiable to them, but just as surely, many will come if we simply fulfill our responsibility and ask them to come on behalf of our Lord, Savior, and Master, Jesus.       Expecting God to do Great Things,

======================================================

February 12th is the next BIG DAY.  These are days when we put a special emphasis on bringing those in our community who are un-churched. That night we are going to show the movie “Courageous”.  It’s a powerful movie full of laughter and tears that focuses on the role of fatherhood.  I have seen this movie two times and it carries the message that could eternally change families.

There is a follow up study that covers what God tells us in Scripture about being a father.  We are asking for some of our guys to consider leading a small group of men in this study.  We will provide the materials.  Please pray and be open to God if He wants to use you to lead a group.

I am going to play the movie this Sunday afternoon at 3:00 in the worship center.  This will give you an opportunity to see the movie and prepare better.  Who knows guys - God may want to use you to make a difference in the lives of others.  Be open to that.

We are expecting a big crowd that night.  If you want to be here this Sunday to see the movie in advance, we will not turn anyone away - ladies included.
